Family Update

One of the fun things about living in San Francisco is the amazing amount of things to do.  This past weekend we went to the Sharon Art Studio, a city art program, and painted clay tiles.  They are going to fire them and put them in a retaining wall near the playground in Golden Gate Park.  It will be fun to walk by and pick out our tiles once this project is finished.  The wall is near where we go every monday to do our 'pancakes in the park'.  We painted six.  The boys needed some help because they wanted to put globs of paint and poke holes in all the clay tiles...but we think that their blobs of color and holes are beautiful!  I've been trying to do more creative things with them.  It is hard to control two little boys throwing, eating, and stomping play dough, but they really like it.  It is fun to see them learn.  We found a train track that the boys got for their first Christmas and set it up.  They LOVE it and wake up every morning asking to play with the 'tren trks'.  We've found a new way to keep them busy. We'll see how long it lasts!  They've been loving all the Christmas lights around the city.  It doesn't seem much like the Christmas without the freezing cold weather, lots of white snow, and wood-burning stoves, but we're getting used to the idea that winter in San Francisco means, rain, sunshine, and green trees.  We are staying here for Christmas again this year along with most of our team.  We are hoping to get up to Tahoe sometime in the next few months to enjoy sledding and the snow. It will be fun to see how the boys react to snow.

Ps. Thought I should include some Halloween photos too...They had fun being 'lylies' (lions)
