The long bike is finally DONE!!! They boys (all three of them) love it and we feel much more mobile as a family. We can't wait until it stops raining so we can use it more...Last year around this time we spent a couple of weeks in Quartzsite, AZ at the rock and gem show. People come to sell their treasures (think of a HUGE flea market) and others come to get out of the cold weather and buy these treasures. We go there to meet up with traveling friends that are looking for work, getting out of cold weather, or just traveling through. Many people that we've met at Christian Summer Camp (look at "Monday, September 13, 2010 Camping" blog entry) end up in Quartzsite this time of year. It is fun to catch up with them and spend some quality time talking and hanging out. Last year we met many interesting people that we hope to connect with again this year. So...we are leaving today. Please keep us in your prayers as we head down south. After Quartzsite, we are attending a four day healing prayer/spiritual warfare "training" that CRM is putting on in Southern California. Then we head back to SF and Jacob has his next cardiologist appointment on February 2nd to check up on his heart and see how things are looking. We are expecting that we may have to schedule his next surgery after this appointment.
